Apply here: https://gtia.org/giving/grants
What: The Global Technology Industry Association (GTIA) is seeking applications through Sept. 15 for its new grantmaking program investing in nonprofits (and schools) that use — or need — technology to improve lives, with a focus on under-resourced communities locally and globally. The new grant opportunity is part of a recent expansion of GTIA’s giving programs.
Who is funding the grants?
GTIA, a 501(c)(6) industry association, through the GTIA Foundation, a separate 501(c)(3) which is fully funded by the association’s endowment.
How much grant funding will GTIA award in 2025?
GTIA expects to award $600,000 through its new grantmaking program as part of its $1.5 million total charitable giving commitment for the year. It’s anticipated that grants in the current cycle will be awarded in the $25,000 to $50,000 range, with the potential for larger-scale grants (depending on the applications received). Next year’s grant cycles will be announced by the end of this year.
Who can apply:
Priority will be given to nonprofits and schools that use technology to address resource deficits as well as systemic barriers. Areas of focus include but are not limited to:
- Technology that enhances educational opportunities and outcomes
- Programs that bridge the digital divide
- Workforce initiatives using tech to open doors
- Tech innovation that creates new pathways to prosperity
- Bold initiatives that use technology to expand access and equality
Who is not eligible to apply:
Individuals, for-profit efforts, political or religious groups, or organizations that discriminate.
How to apply:
Eligible nonprofits and schools can apply online at gtia.org/grants. The application is a fully online process, but a preview of the form can be downloaded ahead of time to allow for preparation.
When is the deadline?
The deadline for the current grant cycle is Sept. 15, 2025.
