Center of Excellence Steering Committees
Introducing Our New Center of Excellence Steering Committees
The Cybersecurity Association is proud to announce the launch of our Center of Excellence (CoE) Steering Committees, a major milestone in our mission to advance cybersecurity through advocacy, collaboration, and innovation. These committees represent a bold step forward in ensuring that our programming is not only timely and relevant but also deeply impactful for our diverse membership and the broader cybersecurity community.
Why We’re Establishing Steering Committees
Cybersecurity is one of the fastest-changing fields in the world. From new threats and technologies to evolving workforce needs, the landscape demands strategic leadership and agile responses. To remain at the forefront of these changes, the Cybersecurity Association is creating dedicated Steering Committees for each of our Centers of Excellence:
Business Growth & Innovation
Cyber Talent
Cyber Resilience
These committees will be comprised of trusted experts, thought leaders, and active Association members who will guide each CoE’s strategy, programming, and performance. By formalizing these leadership groups, we ensure that our work directly addresses the most pressing challenges and opportunities facing cybersecurity professionals and businesses today.
The Role of Steering Committees
Each Steering Committee will be responsible for providing strategic direction, member-focused insights, and oversight of its respective CoE’s initiatives. Members will meet quarterly, with additional work occurring between sessions to maintain momentum. Each committee term will last 12 months, beginning December 1, 2025.
Key Responsibilities of Steering Committee Members
Strategic Direction: Shape and refine programming to align with emerging trends, opportunities, and member priorities.
Member-Centric Focus: Ensure all initiatives reflect the real-world needs of cybersecurity professionals, companies, and the wider community.
Performance Oversight: Monitor outcomes to confirm that our programs deliver meaningful results and measurable value.
Why Join a Steering Committee?
Serving on a Steering Committee offers a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact on the future of cybersecurity. Members will:
Expand Influence: Play a direct role in guiding the work of one of the Association’s Centers of Excellence.
Build Connections: Collaborate with other high-level leaders across industries, government, and academia.
Enhance Visibility: Gain recognition as a thought leader driving forward innovation, workforce development, and resilience in cybersecurity.
Contribute to Growth: Help shape the next generation of programming and resources that will strengthen the cybersecurity ecosystem.
If you are passionate about advancing cybersecurity and committed to collaboration, this is your chance to step into a leadership role that matters.
Who Is Eligible to Apply?
To ensure that our leadership remains closely connected to our membership, eligibility is reserved for current, paid members of the Cybersecurity Association. This ensures that Steering Committees are composed of individuals who are already invested in our mission and community.
If you are not yet a member but are interested in joining, we encourage you to explore membership opportunities so that you can be part of this exciting initiative.
