NIST's Small Business (SMB) Cybersecurity Community of Interest (COI) has been established to convene the public and private sectors to share business insights, expertise, challenges, and perspectives to guide our work and assist NIST in addressing the cybersecurity needs of the SMB community. NIST SMB Cybersecurity COI calls meet quarterly to present recent updates in the NIST SMB program, to engage in topical discussions, and to answer audience questions.

Agenda:

  • 2:00 p.m. - 2:10 p.m.: Welcome and NIST Small Business Cybersecurity Program updates
  • 2:10 p.m. - 2:45 p.m.: Guest Speaker: Meghan Anderson, NIST Privacy Engineering Program
    • This topic is based on feedback from prior COI calls, where members wanted to learn more about the intersection of cybersecurity and privacy. Though cybersecurity and privacy are distinct disciplines, they both can have overlapping and complementary objectives. Meghan Anderson from NIST’s Privacy Engineering Program will join the call for the first 40 minutes to highlight recent updates to the NIST Privacy Framework, discuss the intersection of cybersecurity and privacy, and engage in Q&A.
  • 2:45 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.: Discussion
